Dutchess County Guest House featured in two new books
Dec 16, 2010
Allied Works’ Dutchess County Residence Guest House will be featured in Houses:Modern Natural/Natural Modern by Ron Broadhurst/Rizzoli Publishers, an authoritative volume on the most innovative and environmentally sensitive new residential design. The focus of the book is on houses “demonstrating the inexhaustible potential of the modern house to enter into a dialogue with nature, either as an extraordinary object within the landscape or as an essay in environmental sustainability, or both.”
Featured on the cover of Eva Hagberg/Monticello’s Nature Framed, the Dutchess County Residence Guest House is one of twenty-five projects that articulates the complex relationship between architecture and nature, literally and metaphorically.
