National Music Centre in the Press

Calgary’s National Music Centre continues to receive recognition in the design press. This month’s issue of Metropolis magazine features a six-page spread by Jeremy Klazsus entitled “Finely Tuned: Calgary’s newest cultural hub resonates” including extensive photography of the building and concept models.

Surface magazine cites National Music Centre in the February Issue in their Ideas in Design feature where David Basulto refers to the building as a “living sound machine.” Canadian Architect featured National Music Centre on the cover of this month’s issue. In a the seven-page article entitled “Music of the Spheres”, Graham Livesey refers to the project as “an architectural tour-de-force” and naming it “one of the most spectacular buildings constructed in North America during the last decade.”
