PNCA Schnitzer Center Opens February 2015: A Look Inside

Construction continues on the historic 511 NW Broadway Building, which will reopen in February of 2015 as the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for the Arts. The Schnitzer Center will house 165,000sf of new space for arts education, production, review and presentation, and will have a range of special amenities including a two level atrium / performance court, gallery, mediatheque, library and object study lab.
The five story tower is nearly complete and is being fitted out with furniture and equipment; the new common areas at the base will continue to develop over the coming months. The building is the anchor project of the college’s realignment and redevelopment on Portland’s North Park Blocks, which will serve as the central feature of a vibrant, mixed-use urban campus.
