Apr 21, 2021

Stanford University—
2021 Spring Lecture Series
Architecture + Landscape + Urban Design: The Public Realm

The Stanford University Campus Planning and Design Office sponsors a spring lecture series in architecture, landscape and urban design each year. We are pleased to invite you to join Brad Cloepfil – founder of Portland and New York City-based Allied Works, on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at 5:00pmPST/8:00pmEST as he addresses the theme of this year’s series – “The Public Realm” along with many prestigious colleagues.

This topic, at the heart of Allied Works’ process and work for more than 25 years, addresses the research that shows “that the more we engage with people who are different from us, the more creative we become together. Cities are truly the incubators of innovation, and the public realm is the great mixing chamber where new ideas are conceived."

Brad's lecture is entitled “Practice and the Public Realm". He will discuss the origins and ethics of Allied Works' creative practice, and how it has transformed to face new conditions and challenges in the present day.

Attendance via Zoom is free and open to the public. Registration for this online event is available here
