Two Allied Works’ projects featured in new book, Competition Architecture

Braun Publishing based in Switzerland has released a new book, Competition Architecture, which features two of Allied Works’ most recent designs. The book showcases the design proposals of finalists for major international competitions.
In 2009, the Cantos Music Foundation selected Allied Works to design the National Music Centre of Canada. The other finalists included Jean Nouvel, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, SPF:architects, Saucier+Perrote for the $75 million commission.
In 2010, Allied Works was one of five finalists in a competition to design a new exhibition and entrance pavilion for the historic Musée national des beaux-arts du Quebec (MNBAQ). The three-stage, 10-month competition included architects from North America, Europe and Japan.
