Wieden + Kennedy on Portlandia

View project
Jan 31, 2012

Allied Works' Wieden + Kennedy Building was featured in the first season of Portlandia, a comedy series which airs on the IFC Channel. Creators and co-stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein (a former W+K employee) give the audience a glimpse of life within this creative advertising agency, and in the process lead viewers on a frenetic tour through all six levels of the building.

Spaces visited include the ground floor gallery, the central atrium, half-court gymnasium, intersecting bridges, studios and workrooms. The 'basket' seen at the end of the sketch is an installation by artist Patrick Doherty, and is actually a working conference space on the top floor. The balloon, however, is not included.
