Completed in 2013, the Sokol Blosser Winery Tasting Room represents Allied Works first building for the wine industry and collectively, our first creation of a dedicated, free-standing structure for tastings, events and viewings of vineyard estates. The project is also the first significant work of contemporary architecture to be built in this relatively young and expanding wine growing region.
To commemorate this achievement, Sokol Blosser commissioned Allied Works to develop a publication detailing the inspiration, exploration and experience of the new tasting room. Printed largely in monochrome on rough-toothed, heavy paper, the book is an evocation of the building itself: tactile, lyrical and unfolding, with a profound respect for craft. A first edition of 250 copies were printed; limited copies remain, available at the tasting room or by contacting our Portland office at info@alliedworks.com.
