Bjorn Nelson is a LEED accredited architectural designer who works closely with Allied Works Senior Leadership on design and documentation detailing of large, complex cultural, civic and workspace projects, including the Palmer Art Museum, National Music Centre of Canada, National Veterans Memorial & Museum, Fast Retailing Headquarters, and Pixar's animation studios.

Bjorn has a background in sustainable design, with a focus on performance based highly energy efficient building practices. He has trained to become a Certified Passive House Consultant and designed two of Oregon's first Passive Houses. He has also applied his expertise in detailing and interest in craft to Allied Works furniture. He has worked on the designs and managed the fabrication of multiple Allied Works pieces including the Sill Bench, the Carbon Table, as well as furniture for Wieden + Kennedy.
